Realized I never posted this up over here.
Our next comp will be the 23rd at lake Keechelus, which is on I-90, just east of the summit of Snoqualmie Pass. Info on the location is HERE (http://warcrc.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1138) if anybody wants to make the trek.
you guys need to load up a car, split the gas money, and come on down.
This place is way cool, you guys would like it.

Ryan it's a cool spot, but FYI once the snow flies this winter, probably between late Oct - mid Nov, it will be inaccessable until next summer when the snow melts and the lake level drops again.
Not that you can't come to a comp somewhere else though :D
Any Oregon guys going? I'm going to see if I can get away with 2 Sundays in a row. Maybe share a ride if I can get away with it.

Hope you can go Tim, My wife says I'm good to go. We could take my truck, t gets about 26-28 mpg on the highway. My son will be staying home for this one.

Hey ORCRC crew.

Thanks again for making the trip up today. Its alway great to have you guys up here.
As I said on WARCRC the comp ran smooth because of your participation and others who stepped up. Hats off to ya!
Here are a few pics of the morning sign up, course building, drivers meeting, and poser pics.
Hope to see ya Oct 21st for the summer series finals.

On the drive home I was thinking about what Sean was saying (that I need my own truck). I think I may run either a ax10 bax stock or the Jim hand junk box crawler. We will see how the samuai purchase goes.
Thanks for letting me drive the grounder Jim. Ir teally got me thinking how much fun it would be to compete in the 2.2 class.

I got to drive the Grounder once. AMAZING. So refined and balanced- does everything well, and some things incredibly. I'd love one.

Chad, not to give you a big head or anything but you are an amazing driver. When you are on it is awesome to watch. I could tell Sunday morning, you had a big smile on your face, you were super laid back, I knew you were going to drive well.
I would be afraid if you built a good performing 2.2 with some simple dig and just kept driving it, all year long. I think there would be a really tight race for the top positions.
On a side note, The ax 10 has some serious potential. I am thinking of building another one for my comp rig. I think they need a bit of work but they are definately on the level they need to be.
Congrats to Mike on his super win, that was a tough class and you deserve it with the way you drove course one.

Y'all are un-invited from now on....... :p
Seriously though, awesome job by the entire ORCRC crew, glad so many of you could make it up. See you all next time! :D
