Looks like you guys had a pretty good turnout. I was going to try to make it, but only had about 3 hours. That would have got me there and back with no crawling :( . So I went to Spring Park for about an hour.
Sooo, are there going to be some good lines for comp courses down there? What tires are going to work best? Be honest, no screwing with me on the tire choice ;) .

from what i seen the mashers were like slime out there! but it does all depend if you get your tires wet... i pretty much tried to keep my tires dry for the most part.. for instance there was this one side hill that jim, chad, and myself all went across.. i went across it no problem but the mashers seemed to slide.. but it might be because there tires were wet..

i also had a harder time when my tires(losi) got wet.. there was a lot of lines i could just walk and once my tires were wet i could barely make them if at all.

Wet tires did cause some problems but chad and my tires are worn,i think they will be fine if i flip them over for the comp. The losi claws were workin great but it we run a course through the wet sand they will plug up like a moab

Broken dam has some really cool rock formations and is about the same size as high rocks. Setting up 6 courses will be kinda tough but i still think its the best new spot in years.

Sounds sweet. I'm excited to crawl in a new place. Let's all get together and pray for dry weather on the 9th :D .

Since several of you were out there today..... let me ask you this...

How close is the water to the area that we will be crawling? How much higher would the water need to rise to cover the area that we will be crawling?

I ask because we are getting into the rainy season... I would hate to see that water rise up and either cancel or just create a general hazard for the comp.

Remember the floods back in '95? I think it would take that scenario to reach to the crawling area;)

I hope you're right.

well when we went last friday the water was a lot higher then that and it still wasnt even close to taken out the major crawling spots.
