I don't have pics or results. Just teasing. But here's a place for them. Did anyone happen to pick up our black and yellow Caterpillar golf umbrella? It was left over by the 2.2 courses. Had a great time today. It was a day of first's for me. This was my first time finishing all three 2.2 courses and my first course finish with my super. My son also had a great time playing with Mason, his newest buddy. As always, I wish I had a little more chit chat time but I also really enjoy judging/scoring. Glad all the guys came down from up north. It's always good having you. Can't wait to see some of the pic's. I hope someone will post vid/pics of the Kayak going off the edge. I've never seen a comp just come to a halt like that. What a great thing to see.

And not everyone knew this. Guess I should have posted it better.

Winner of the Super and 2.2 class each get 2 custom made Ti links.
So when its posted up, whoever is the winner shoot me a pm with size and addy and I will get em made and off to the lucky winners. :)

Thanks to everybody that came out, and to the WA crowd for lending some of their population! Thanks to those who helped judge and set up courses, I appreciate it.

Due to a late concert last night, I'm too tired to post scores tonight. Tomorrow perhaps? Plus they'd just depress me, and I need all my positive energy to look for a new, less all-consuming hobby. I've narrowed it down to crocheting on acid or waterboarding stuffed animals. Both are relaxing and will make me more popular with older, eclectic women. No tennis balls involved, unless they want to incorporate them into any naughty bedroom stuff.

Thanks again,
Ryan

With 2 cars setup the same (tuber twins) we had a chance to compare between m3 mashers and the m2 badlands, they had the same foreward traction but the badlands had a clear sidebite advantage.

I had a great time, haveing a new tuber to drive made today extra fun for me.

Was definetly a great comp with a huge turnout. The courses were definetly a test of tires and skill of which I have little at this point. The half time show was pretty crazy as well.
I have to say it was worth driving 8 and a half hours in a day!

Yeah Scuzzy and Chad did some stuff rock claws and mashers couldnt touch. I think they're definatelly a better for the wet and moss... but I havent seen them in the dry yet. I am going to have to pick up a set once my truck is finished:D

Awesome day. I really enjoyed myself there. Wasn't as far out as I thought it was. No rain. Nicely laid out 2.2 courses. Super courses.....well, lets just say I have never seen someone throw a maker accross a course before  (I wish I could have got that on video, would have been a classic ORCRC moment). New chassis seems to be very well setup, so I'm happy about that. As always, we have a great group here, make everything that much better!!

Thanks to Rod, and his wife for taking the pictures (Over 200 to choose from!!)

you were also the last person to run the course right.. might have been a little dryer then it was whe everyone else ran it.. or it could just be that cool wire chassis you got...

Now that I have a capable 2.2 I gotta start adding those last goodies to the Super. The course I finished with the super made me feel good. Just need some better motors for some good drag brake action. I was using a little reverse to drag the back end and ended up getting a couple reverse penalties when I actually made the rears run backwards instead of just stalling them. It'll get there eventually. I was a little disappointed with my run on the "blue ball" course. I couldn't clear the first gate. Had to repo past it and then breezed through the last gates pretty quick with only one or two backups. I'm looking forward to the next one already.

martee
03-17-2008, 11:02 PM
Better motors will help with that? I was just under the thought that you needed brushless to fix that. I do the same, and got a couple reverses for just the back axle spinning. Hell if some nice lathe motors will at least REDUCE the free wheel spinning, then I'm off to Tamies TONIGHT! :D I also think I'm going to shell out for some nuckles and cvds, and if I have enough another Hand Bro's steering kit for the rear.....then I'll be out of excuses, it's all driver from there:o

Thanks to everyone who help get everthing set up, those were some great courses @ a great location. This was the first comp. that I was actually able to finish all 3 courses and I even scored negative on the 1st course. I think I might finally be getting a hang of this whole crawing thing. Now just need to get dig on my wheely king and see if I can drop the scores even lower. Anyway thanks again to Ryan and the gang, looking forward to the next one already.

I picked up the "V10" 55 turn for the AX10 and with a mamba max it seems to have awesome drag brake. I think i'm going to put it in the super on the back and see how it does. If I like it I'll get another. I think it was only about $30-35. We should get together before the next comp and run the supers some more. I know I need the practice with mine. I have gate markers, we could set up some courses

Really surprised by the Super scores. I never thought I finished that high. Sometimes it just takes one good run. Plus I beat my personal best overall score in 2.2 and made it into top 10 again. I'm really anxious for the next comp now. I better get some more Super time under my belt. I know I will really have to work for it.

The one guy that I need to fail miserably steps up, has two low scores and wins overall??? Nice Job Dustin, looks like the stupid simple wire trucks are dominating this season so far?

Very nice work, and it sound like you all had a good time this weekend.

BTW, Did I see Wiebs in there somewhere? You washington suckers brought him down as a ringer didnt you?

I had a great time once again. I am also surprised that I placed top 5 :D because I knew everyone was driving very well that day and a lot of us completed courses and not timed out. This was my personal best score ever at a comp. I can't wait till the next one already.

The last comp wasnt that bad..........Alright it sucked pretty bad but that had nothing to do with me not going. With all the work lately I have been neglecting getting ready to head down to moab for Easter Jeep Safari. I worked on the jeep and the new car trailer all weekend as I am leaving on Friday for 10 days of wheelin and shenanigans in Moab.

ill be back next month, dont worry I am not done with you quite yet.
