Here's a quick recap of my BB-51 titan rebuild. I do have it all documented with parts list and pictures of nearly every step if interested.

Front and rear axles are running JP Knuckles, and Fat-Rock Axle-c's with full ball bearings.

And of course the Chassis is a Montana Scale Designs BB-51

Mounted the steering servo up top and also made a mount for the winch:

Used some Kydex Plastic for the electronics area and the battery mount.

Then the rear links went installed using a Hand Bros rear servo mount

Then the front I'm running a 3link with panhard bar

And then its a roller!

Then I worked on the exo cage. This is my first one so be easy on me lol. This is a mockup body, not the one I'm using

got my body and finished the exo cage.

I simply crimped some brake line, drill the holes and it was ready to go. Alot of parts got hit with some flame, so I had some cleaning to do, but thats o.k.

Trimmed the body and mounted it up

Here's some mock-up pics

After shaving my axles, I painted them. Xtreme-rc-hobbies.net hooked me up with some sweet Delrin links which match my all black scheme.

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Titan/14.jpg

I couldn't find any decent body mounts so I made my own. Took some of the same brakeline I used for the cage, Crimped the ends and screwed in a 3mm screw which self tapped itself. Then I drilled a hole in the front and rear cross member for the frame, cut a small hole in the body and attached them with a screw. Better then a huge body post I think..

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Titan/15.jpg

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Titan/16.jpg

Also installed the swamp dogs. Truck flexes on 3 geo's with no problem. Plenty of flex!

I'm a little annoyed at myself, because the front could need some extending, and the body sits a little high, but who cares at this point. Its time to go get it dirty!

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Titan/20.jpg

I want to thank Fat-rock.com for the killer Axle-cs, Hotlidz.com for the body, and Xtreme-rc-hobbies.net for the nice delrin links and Montana Scale designs for the chassis and extenders

Then Diaz Designs hooked me up with a bed liner

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Random/21.jpg

So I cut the body up..

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Random/22.jpg

and installed it using some 5 minute clear epoxy. I masked around the bed, added it the expoxy, then smoothed it out with a piece of lexan.

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m270/rcbro/Random/23.jpg

then i finally took the crawler out . got some video in the snow and creeks and such. here's some pics of the action.

Its that or ditch the roof rack, but then my cool LED would be gone haha and I'd have holy body, plus I think the bodie is alittle to high, and I can always make a new and better exo :)

thats why i was thinking moabs! if you double narrow the wheels it should make the moabs tall enough to fill in your wheel wells.

anyone want to cut some moabs and rims for me? lol

RcBro

Well,
I wanted to drop the body some, so I removed the exo cage and i'm stuck in a rut.

The aluminum bed liner hits the shock mount posts. I can either dremel the bedliner, or paint up a new body. (anyone good at painting?)

So should I paint up a new body and ignore the bed liner, Or should I just cut the bed liner and add a tool box in the back?

can you trim enough off the shock tower itself?? or will that not be enough??

No I'd have to cut the tower and the top of the shock off lol.

The thing with making a tool box is, the bed is already small as heck, so it would look goofy...

arg.

Purchased a new body, RC4WD beadlocks and greay beadlock rings.

Then sent the truck to Double J Products for some new renderings of the exo cage, and roof rack! Its in the mail and should be arriving soon.

On top of that, I'm getting another RcBros LED Light kit with working LED lights...

I'm leaving for hawaii next week, but when I get back, the new upgrades will be installed and we'll finally get some real crawlin footage at the park I keep bragging about but never seem to get footage of lol.
