Alright guys, I have to offer my sincerest appologies for f**king up all the scores from last night. I'm very embarrased to say that I was in USRCCA 2.2 competition mode when I was adding everything up. I accidently gave all gates a +10 instead of +5 like it should have been. I feel like an idiot, and hopefully I'm getting this out of my system now.

Unfortunately it has changed the final standing a little bit.

Scores from today:

1.9 first:

Course 1:

1. Kirk -5
2. Tim -5
3. Lonny -5
4. Mitch 0
5. Kyle 5
6. Den 5
7. Chad 55
8. Alex 70
9. Mike 90

Course 2:

1. Mitch -2
2. Lonny 3
3. Tim 8
4. Kyle 13
5. Chad 13
6. Den 13
7. Alex 18
8. Kirk 23
9. Mike 48

Final standings [course 1, course 2, scale points, (fast time bonus) and final score]-

1. Tim -5 8 -25 : -22
2. Kirk -5 23 -25 (-5) : -12
3. Mitch 0 -2 -18 : -10
4. Lonny -5 3 -5 : -7
5. Kyle 5 13 -17 (-5) : -4
6. Den 5 13 -19 : -1
7. Chad 55 13 -15 : 53
8. Alex 70 18 -19 : 69
9. Mike 90 48 -21 : 117

Man, that top 6 is close, looks like some people need to work on the scale points :).

On to the 2.2:

Course 1:

1. Kirk -10
2. Tim -5
3. Solomon 0
4. Big D 5
5. Keven 5
6. Lonny 5
7. Den 5
8. Luke 10
9. Chad 20
10. Alex 25
11. Tom 45

Course 2:

1. Tim -5
2. Alex 0
3. Big D 0
4. Kirk 0
5. Lonny 0
6. Den 5
7. Solomon 5
8. Keven 10
9. Luke 20
10. Alex 25
11. Tom 45

Final standings [Course 1, course 2, (fast time bonus), and final score:

1. Kirk -10 0 -21 (-5) : -36
2. Tim -5 -5 -25 : -30
3. Big D 5 0 -25 : -20
4. Solomon 0 5 -15 : -10
5. Keven 5 10 -22 : -7
6. Lonny 5 0 -10 : -5
7. Den 5 5 -14 : -4
8. Alex 25 0 -23 : 2
9. Luke 10 20 -18 (-5) : 12
10. Chad 20 40 -19 : 41
11. Tom 45 40 -25 : 60

Again, sorry about the screw up....hopefully I didn't crush any of your dreams. Better for me to get this figured out now and not next series.....

Today was a Blast! I sure found out that even the scalers are way more dialed in for crawling than my shelf queen hilux! Whoa!
the poor thing got pretty beat today. the Proline bumpers are wasted,
Broke D rings off both ends and seriously cracked the front.

I'm very happy with the 3racing winch though. It's plenty strong enough to brake it's own CHEESY hook.

I'll be sporting something totally different at the scale event that's for sure .

Wow! BOTG is definitely a great spot to crawl! can't wait to go there again!

Say, Is anybody else's face as wind burnt as mine?

It was great to see you up there. Too bad you didn't do better, but it WAS your first event. Get to work and we'll see you at the next one....maybe with a 1.9 too? :)

After further review, you got a 33 on course 2....(2 gates, a reposition, a rescue, and a roll) that will jump you up a spot past Kyle. I plan to re add all the scores at work today just to make sure everything is correct (I was seeing things last night after doing math for 2 hours).

As for owning 2.2- you beat me on course 1 by 3 seconds and got the -5 time bonus. If you hadn't got the bonus, I'd have beat you by 4 points :). (That's not owning).
It's going to be interesting next month when there's no time bonus, and only 1free reverse per gate.

KEVEN or TIM where would you like me to post the season standings? or should i just PM it to ya and let you post it up?

Either way, if you PM me I'll post it, but you could just make a thread and post everything so everyone can see how they did throughout the series.

Nice driving! You do have screwy shock angles on your rig, but you've adjusted it enough to compensate and make it work well. If you changed the shock angles and a few other things, you could have an even better working (and more scale looking) truck, but it's ok, we know you won't. ;)

ill get the total scores posted up in another post ..should be an easy read for all to see

I think Mitch's wheels are fine, it's his hybrid tractor tires that throw it off. I thought he was looking at the 1.9 Flatirons though.

you know there is a weight limit for adding to your wheels right? i'm sure you probably had the heaviest set of wheels out at the scale comp. but if you think it looks scale i guess run it....

Sh0rtlife
01-20-2009, 01:08 AM
scuzzy after my first runnings of those wheels i didnt think they looked all that scale till i saw the wheels on ryans sami and then i was like well hell i guess they are semi scale after all.....i will be the first to admit..NO AG tire looks scale out there but they work..and so well that most of the 1:1 mud and swamp trucks run em...i consider my truck more of a mud truck than a crawler and drive it as such......now...if the rc4wd swampers WORKED id be runnin em!!!!!!!

as for the weight yeah im runnin heavy wheels but..i see no rule againts milling a set of beadlocks from solid brass or lead for that matter...you could still add another 12oz to the set of wheels

Shortlife: Im glad you got that pic of my truck. I didnt realize it looked so bad and exposed from the side, and i want it to look better. Il put those fronts i have on and make something for the rear. Andi need to adress the orange baloon in there too...

Toyo: I am tired of the tractor look. I am working on getting some 1.9 Flat Irons, or at least something that looks more street MT. Im so hooked on how well my tires work, its going to be hard to find a good replacement. Also been looking at 1.9'ing some Mashers, or ive also been eyeing those new Losi Tires. The Rock Carvers i think, they have a cool PitBull Rocker look on the sidewall. And 1.9'd losi tires should work pretty well, good compound and all.

In my opinion the Losi 1.9 tires work great... but way to short for our scale rigs. They would look funny in the fenders of the Toyota bodies. I really like my Trail Doctors but find that they might look great but they wear way too fast for my taste and I don't have the soft ones either. I think the 1.9 Flat Irons will be the way to go, especially if the tread is altered just a bit to open up the voids between the treads.

The losi 1.9s i was refering to would be the Carvers if i cut them down. I agree about the OEM Losi 1.9s, they are hella shoties.

So i read a bit about that glueing issue, and i read about someone was saying the issues were with the White compound. I know there are some Blue compound Carvers at Tammies. What compound did you use Tim? If i cut them up, it would be narrowed and 1.9d, so its gotta be a solid bond.

The lugs on my current tires were glued on with IC2000, and i beat on em, and they havent let go even a little yet.

I'm not sure what compound they are.....I tried the IC2000, and it wouldn't dry without using the instant set. Then, once it was dry, I could pull them apart if I tugged hard enough. They look cool though......

I've glued together lots of Proline tires without any problems.

The first group of us to show hacked at it some and then towed it gently to the side of the road via Soloman's tow straps and my truck. It was a great ORCRC group effort.
