My FJ45 build

As soon as I saw someone do this I had to have one too !
specs:
sectioned bushwacker (lot of work).
hand built styrene bed .
steel ladder frame.
3 link front with tlt shocks turned down and made into coilovers.
leaf spring rear.
narrowed dirt works on bandit front wheels.

An update.... started on the frame, got some leafs for the front, and shortened the bed (was a 14" !! wb, now 12.75").
I need to get it done this weekend so that I can take it to the dunes with me on the following one ( I play w/the crawlers more than I do with my quad).

The pictures hide the flaws in the bodywork. The seem is visable in person, but not too bad though. I am trying to duplicate the truck from the 2004 Top Truck Challenge put on by FourWheeler magazine. The only picture I could find :

you should see this thing in person, as usual brian is being modest. the bed and frame look amazing, and you would really have to look hard to see the line in the body.

oops, I forgot to post the finished probuct. I've been soooo busy and all (unemployed):mad: Those boggers are my favorite tires, even though they don't grab for sh@%# when ther are wet.


Those shots are from sunday. After I got home I change it around a bit. It needs a new paint job too, rolled down a hill a couple of times. So her it is as of now with narrowed and chopped G hawgs on pede rears with some fake bealocks I made.

New Paint today !! Orange this time, and made a bed liner with some wrinkle finish atv engine case paint. I think will treat the frame the same as I did on the bead locks and front bumper: gun bluing compound and little rem oil to keep the rust away :)

Yup. Ryan's mtroniks fried about ten minutes into our run. We improvised and used my to yoters for the day. Ryan liked the silver one so much that the frame is now his :) Been wanting to build a new frame for it anyways. Here are the only pics I took.
